Lips

Lip Blush

This treatment is more of a process. Its about building the colour which can take some time. This is because the skin on the lips is very different to the skin on the face, which results in the pigment implanting differently.

The tattoo machine and small needle is used to outline the lips. Adding an outline within the vermillion border (natural lip line), this acts as a map to add symmetry and shape. By taking the colour to the very edge of the natural border we can gain around 1mm which makes lips look fuller.

The lip blush process is done by using the tattoo machine and a larger needle to cover more area. A soft natural blush or a full bold colour can be achieved depending on the thickness of the pigment.

Lip Liner

A tattoo machine and small needle is used to outline the lips to add colour back into faded and shrunken lips. The outline within the vermillion border (natural lip line) is of a colour that is as close to the natural colour of the lips.

By taking the colour to the very edge of the natural border we can gain around 1mm which can make lips look fuller.

The lip liner will look darker than the lip colour at first, but once fully healed this should blend in with the natural colour of the lip

The Process

  1. First, we have a consultation to discuss your needs, and I provide a patch test at least 24-48 hours before the first session.
  2. At your first session I first ask you to fill in the necessary forms and go through the aftercare with you.
  3. I also take a before picture.
  4. Next, I draw the desired lip shape and colour using a lip pencil and the pigment colour, and make the necessary tweaks until you are completely satisfied with the shape.
  5. I apply topical anaesthetic to the treatment area. Once it’s had time to settle into the skin I wipe away the excess.
  6. I measure and map the lips using a pen guide and white cream to create a perfect outline.
  7. I begin by making the first outline pass on the bottom lip.
  8. Now that I have finished the first pass, I then make the first outline pass on the top lip.
  9. I make another one or two passes for the outline on both the bottom and top lip, ensuring I add anaesthetic between each pass.
  10. For Lip Blush once I have my outline, I then move on to filling the lips with colours, starting with the bottom lip, then the top and adding anaesthetic.
  11. I then saturate the lips in pigment, clean the face and lips of any residue pigment and apply some A&D ointment to the treated area.
  12. I take some after pictures.
  13. I give you your aftercare kit.
  14. If you have agreed to do so, I will do a video testimonial with you.
  15. Next, we schedule your 6 week top up/12 month colour boost depending on what treatment you just had.
